Assignment Confirmation
Submitting this form does not confirm acceptance of an assignment. An assignment is considered accepted only after you receive a confirmation email from BayServe Legal stating that it has been accepted. If you do not receive that confirmation, please do not consider the assignment accepted.

Multiple Defendants or Addresses?

Documents should be readable and properly oriented. Please check scanned or photographed pages before submitting them.
Whenever possible, provide the final version intended for service. If updated documents are provided later, clearly identify which version should be used.

BayServe Legal serves Santa Clara County, the greater Bay Area, and surrounding counties. Longer-distance and out-of-area assignments may also be available depending on location, timing, and assignment requirements.

We handle a variety of civil and legal documents, including summons and complaints, subpoenas, small claims documents, family law documents, notices, and other documents requiring lawful service. Each assignment is reviewed individually for any specific service requirements.

Standard process service generally includes up to three attempts at the provided address. Attempt timing and strategy may vary based on the location, assignment instructions, service level, and circumstances encountered in the field.

Clients receive updates regarding service attempts and significant developments during the assignment. Upon completion, we provide the appropriate Proof of Service, affidavit, or other completion documentation when applicable to Laws and Court Rules.

If service cannot be completed, the attempts and relevant observations are documented. When appropriate, an Affidavit of Non-Service or other documentation may be provided to reflect the efforts made.

Our Legal Courier service may be used for document pickup and delivery, court-related deliveries, law offices, businesses, records, construction plans, and other legal materials requiring dependable transportation. Availability and timing are determined based on the specific request.

Stakeouts services are primarily used when a person is difficult to locate or serve. Attorneys, businesses, property managers, and individuals may request this service when additional observation is needed. Stakeout assignments have a four-hour minimum, and activity and observations are documented at approximately 15-minute intervals throughout the assignment.
